It's 12:52 am and I am figuring that in 24 hours either hubby or I will be just a wee bit tipsy (one of us will have to drive home)...My kids will be exhausted and I will have probably cried. I usually do....don't know why but I get all sentimental as the calendar turns yet again. It's a time for thanks and a time for reflection and time to hope.

Happy Friday!
Yes...today is Friday...and the start of another busy weekend. New Year's festivities will abound...stay safe everyone!
So today I will share with you a page I made I while back about my daughter and her friend and the father...we went to their house to ring in the new year a few years ago and they played Guitar Hero for the longest time! They had a blast and it was fun to watch.

Just a quick message...
So I went out to Michael's today with my 50% off coupon, all set to get some adhesive and spend a bit of my Christmas money...oh happy day! I got the carry bag for my Slice for $15!!! Original price $70!! Wahoo! Yes, I did get my adhesive...and some embossing folders-that's what I saved the 50% on! Hehe...gotta get to work!

I think I like it!
Ok, so I have fiddled around and I think I have found "the look" that I like for my blog. The background makes me think of patterned paper!
So, I have to say, I am really looking forward to sinking my teeth into the challenges at the last NYE crop at Scrapbook Star...I was a bit busy/lazy today (yes, it happens!) and I didn't do a thing! My hubby and daughter got me some great new scrapping tools so I plan to try them out!
I was given the Sizzix Texture Boutique-which is what I really really really wanted, and the hands free kit for my Slice as well as two cartridges, and ink and marker tips, oh and the emboss/deboss tips. Michael's is not going to carry the Slice anymore so hubby was able to get me all that at DEEPLY discounted prices! Yay!! I have a 50% off coupon that's good until tomorrow so I am going to go get some adhesive and then tomorrow night I am going to play! Watch this space for what I create!!
I will leave you with another of my favourite layouts....this one was created a long time ago but I just LOVE how it all came together. And, the subject is pretty awesome too! :)

So here I am, at last...in the blogging world! I have a lot to learn, that's for sure...but I am going to give it a go...
So why, do you ask, am I finally entering this realm? It's simple, and a bit sad...I found out today that my favourite place to hang out, share tips and share my work will no longer be available as of January 15th. ACK!!!! No more gallery...no more chatting with people...:( So, I have bookmarked everyone's blogs and am now creating my own.
Ok, so, I honestly have nothing new to show you that I have scrapped, but I will show you my fave of this past year...it's my son at the end of our tree hunt...I just love this picture and the simplicity of the page. Don't ask me what products I use, I couldn't tell you! (That's mostly because my stash is SOOO old!LOL)
